Ben is a passionate advocate committed to amplifying the voices of people with lived experience to drive systems change and reduce inequality.

As the BOQ Group Customer Advocate, Ben and his team operate independently within the bank, ensuring that customers are not just heard but truly understood and treated fairly, especially those who may be experiencing vulnerability.

Ben is a regular contributor to community forums that support people experiencing vulnerability and actively volunteers within the crisis support and suicide prevention space.

Ben has held various senior leadership positions within the financial services industry, with a career focus on consumer advocacy and vulnerability.

Ben has also served as independent chairperson and non-executive director of a Queensland community housing organisation and is a passionate advocate for self-determination, systems equity, and strengths-based approaches to working with First Nations communities to achieve better outcomes in the areas of financial services, health, and education.
